Jeremy Clarkson’s Cancer Diagnosis

English television presenter and journalist Jeremy Clarkson recently revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer. The 66-year old announced his diagnosis in an episode of his Amazon Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm, where he shared that he had been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer.

Clarkson is an English revision presenter and journalist, best known for hosting the motoring television program Top Gear from 1988 to 1999, as well as its reboot from 2002 to 2015. He also hosted his own talk show, Clarkson, from 1998 to 2000.

In 2019, Clarkson became a farmer for Diddly Squat Farm and in 2021, he launched his show, Clarkson's Farm, which showcased his attempts to run a farm in the countryside.

Clarkson revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis publicly during a recent episode of Clarkson's Farm, which showed him telling his co-stars Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, "I've got cancer."

"I disappeared off the other week, and I had a biopsy, and it is cancer, and it's aggressive, but it's really early," he shared. Clarkson added that he had known “since May” and had also undergone surgery to remove part of his prostate as part of his treatment.

Prior to the release of the episode, Clarkson had also posted a video on Instagram, sharing that there would be some “somber news” in upcoming episodes of Clarkson’s Farm.

The episode and series ended with Clarkson in a hospital bed following one of his treatment sessions. "We started season five with me in a hospital bed, and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in the hospital bed," he shared. “Some of the treatment's gone a bit awry, let's say, so I'm going to be here for a little while. I'm nil by mouth, I don't know what's going to happen. But if this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't.”
